PEG Tubes

Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tubes are surgically placed conduits that are inserted into patient's stomach to provide access to deliver enteral nutrition and medications. They are often inserted in the operating room in patients who have oropharyngeal cancers or other trauma that prohibit eating or drinking normally.

The tubes can last several months to over a year; however, they can break or get dirty. The tube can be removed if no longer in use. However, for patients who need a longer term option, the tube can be replaced with a low profile, more durable and easier to clean Mic-Key tube.

If you need a Mic-Key tube and a change of an existing G-tube, please contact the office.
